Astheplaneslowlydescendsupontherunwayoftheairport,Icouldfeelmyheartbeatquickenwitheachpassingsecond.IthadbeenyearssinceIlastsawmyhometown,andIwasfilledwithanticipation,excitement,andahintofnervousness.AsIsteppedoutoftheairport,Iinhaledthefamiliarscentofmyhomeland,andforamoment,Iclosedmyeyesandletoutadeepsigh.Iknewthatthistripwouldbespecial,andthemoonthatshoneuponmyhomelandwouldbemyconstantcompanion.
